Which local files are in Vault?

From time to time you need to clean out the local (C: drive) Vault directory. Is there a way of seeing which files are tucked away securely in Vault on the server?
I have lost work several times by clearing out the local Vault only to find that one of the files was something I wanted and wasn't checked in 😞

First do a search for OldVersions and delete all
the results. Then do another search on your workspace (leave the filename fields
blank). This will bring up all files in your workspace no matter how deeply
nested they are. Add the Attributes property to the search results window and
sort by Attributes. Anything that's not Read Only isn't in the
vault.

That's not the case quite a bit of the time.
Checked out files are not read only, and they are in the
vault.

If you look in Vault Explorer, there is a Vault Status column. If under this column there is no circle, you do not have a local copy.

Do a search for VAULT ICONS in Vault explorer.

Do a

file/Vault/add project

this will scan your local files and compare them to the vault...at the end anything that is not in the vault is available to be added.

this does not check in, checked out files.
