Hi All,
I am getting an error message when I try to open files from vault.
"Vault was unable to set the current project file 'Project_file.ipj' to the current project file in Vault. Continuing the opening process may cause issues."
I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to fix this.
A little background:
A while back I was instructed to not use vault (because they didnt want me to screw it up) so I was creating and storing my parts and assemblies on my harddrive. Now I am trying to use these files and bring them into Vault. So I took them from my harddrive and created the correct Vault structure, opened the files and made sure it was all linking to the new copied files and so on before trying to "check in" to vault. However, was unable to do so because the "check in", "check out" buttons have gone grey and not usable at the moment. Then when I went to open files from the vault, I got the error message at the top.
If anyone can help with this, I would greatly appreciate this.
Thank you,

Firstly you need to create the correct folder structure on you local drive the the other valted users have.
I'm thinking that you have done this.
I'm hoping that you project file is working and is a vaulted type.
log into Vault.
Vault - set working folders
'Get / checkout' the project file from your Vault.
Open inventor and sellect the project file.
check Vault/Access/Project folder mapping.
Are your Vault buttons working?
Open your assembly. (Hope you files are in the correct folders)
I think thats it.
Have a look at Autoloader as this may be the easiest way to get your data into the vault.

I had similar issue. To fix this, I closed all inventor files and open Inventor, click projects tab. A window will pop up showing Project name and project location. Choose your right project name and location. Apply and Done. This solved my issue.
I was having the same issue. I tried the solution but it did not work. I had to delete the project file off of my local computer and went back to vault and "get" the project file from Vault and it worked fine after that. This is the first time that I had this issue.
