We have a fresh install of Vault 2015 Pro R1 Service Pack 1 installed with the Thin Client also.
We use Windows Authentication for the user accounts and IE 11 for the browser.
Some, not all, users using the new thin client are having login errors with the authentication set to "Windows Account". When they hit the sign in button an error message pops up over the Password field that states "error: Internal Server Error". Strangly enough, we can set authentication to "Vault Account" and then enter our "domain name\user name" in the User name field and then their password and this lets them log in. Doing this and then logging out will then allow the user to switch to "Windows Account" and then be able to log in. But if the user closes Internet Explorer and then opens it up again, we're back to having to switch to the "Vault account" and start over.
My question is, what is causing this? IE? Vault? How dow we fix it?
What gets me is that not everyone has this issue. Of couse this did not happen in our test environment so we are blind-sided by this issue.
Any help would be much appreciated!
In IE settings, try adding the thin client URL to Trusted Sites.
Otherwise, is there certain software like anti-virus or firewall software, browser add-ins running on the problematic machines?
Generally, These kind of problem will happen with nonsupporting version. Thin clients have been in the computing world since the 70’s.
Hi Gary,
On one of the affected users systems, if you clear their browsing history, cookies etc, are they able to login to the TC?
I noticed a Login issue when trying to switch a web client to a different vault I had to strong type the address in to get it to work.
