Vault Pro 2012 backup failing on full replication

We have a 2 server fully replicated system that backs up fine. However, when we add a new subscriber to the system, the backup fails. No log - nothing. Take the subscriber off and the publisher backup works fine.

Any reason why this could be happening?

I can't remember what we did do get this working, but we did solve it back in December of last year.
