"Yes"

There is nothing, technically, stopping you from installing ADMS onto a remote server.

It depending on what kind of access you will be provided to that server. Will you be allowed to occasionally log into it to do maintenance and change settings, or will the group that owns the server sign on to do that kind of stuff?

Hi Jon,
how would you define remote vault server without ADMS installed?
Thanks.

Johannes,

I have a customer who has outsourced his server hardware to a clould service.  They asked if it would be a problem if their ADMS (Vault Server) was installed on this remote server.  All of the maintanence and such would be handled by the outside company.

I wonder if you seek legal consent on this solution in the forums. I would say technically I would have no concern at all, but I would talk to your Autodesk contact about feasibility in terms of legal manner.
Vault is officially supported in the Cloud since this AU class.
