vault not publishing a dwf

About half the time a certain user checks files into vault, it does not generate a dwf from autocad mechanical only. Inventor works fine. I have checked the publish options in autocad they look fine, I checked what I could think of on the vault side. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi Scottrauscher1458,

Could you tell us which version of ACM and Vault
that you used?

If you are using Vault 2009, you might wish to
enforce the DWF publishing for ACM file by editing 'Publish Options.xml' file.
These are the steps:

1. Locate 'Publish Options.xml' file

2. Edit the file.

3. Locate node ACADCommonPublishOption, ensure
'InitializeLayouts' is 'true'.

4. Locate node ACADPageSetupOption_Mechanical,
ensure both 'IncludeModelSpace' & 'IncludeLayouts' is true.

5. Save 'Publish Options.xml' file

6. Via ACM, during check-in, do ensure that
'Visualisation Attachment Options' are set to create visualisation attachmetn
(dwf/dwfx).

hope it helps.

Hi Scottrauscher1458,

Could you examine that if both the model/layout
space are initialised before checking in to vault via ACM?

Prior to release 2009, vault will only publish
space that get initialised. I'm suspecting that could be the reason ACM's dwf
file didn’t get published.

Let us know then. thanks.

Rgds, Chear Huat

Hi Scottrauscher1458,

There is a known issue that DWF publishing does
not work properly at ACM with ACM file (that originated/'saved as' from
MDT).

If your files do not fall under this category,
could we contact you and get ur fileset for our troubleshooting?

Rgds, Chear Huat.
