I need some quick help here.
Fairly recent install of Vault 2014 SP1 u2 on a client machine that is set to act as jobprocessor (jobserver)
It has been working, but now it suddenly wont trigger the inventor process to create dwf:s.
The job is processing, but nothing happens.
The updates on this machine are being managed by IT. I have no idea what has happened.
What can I do to check things and get it going again?
The Job Processor works with the folder C:\Temp. Please clear this folder.
I would just like to extend a big Thank´s to Elisabeth Böhm for the support done via remote connection to my Jobserver system.
She added some cleanup scripts to the SQL maintenance plan, which will increase performance.
And some other things like:
Added the user "AutodeskVault" into the Group IIS_IUSRS and Users on the Vault server
Added the "full control"-rights the Group "Users" for the folder C:\Temp\ on the Jobprocessor machine
Rebooted the server which had some updates and needed reobbot. That cleared the com-class errors on the jobs.
Ran a test on a medium size Inventor dwg, which came through just fine.
The dwf was created.
So, Thank You Elisabeth, it was really nice working with You.
BUT, I think I still need som expertise help, this time regarding timeout settings and ethernet connection utilisation.
Really big dwg:s does not process correctly.
I tried probing the ehternet connections on both machines, and the best I can get when the jobprocessor is running, is some 26000 kbit per second throughput.
Is there something wrong with the protocols?
When i submit the job, the folder in C:\temp is created, but the job stops after recieving some 623MB and 1023 files, it´s done that twice now.
The jobserver queue then says "The new job processor service is not responding." on the job. Sign of a timeout?
The dwg with sub´s should contain some 5000 files.
The processes are a mystery: the "Connectivity.jobprocessor.delegate.host" is the most active, but still "lazy" and wobbling intermittently between 0% and 12% CPU load, while not rising above 450MB memory (the machine has 24GB).
And, as stated before, the network load is wobbling between 0% - 12% on a 1GBPS network card through gigabit switches to the Vault-server´s gigabit card. That´s way below expectations I think.
It seems to me that I´m getting something like 4-5% oooomph out of this system and I can´t figure out why.
That´s all I can say at this point. Could someone please help me some more??
