Vault Folder Icon

Hi Team,

When i upload a file to Vault through AutoCAD, the .dss file containing folder appears with an icon as shown in the attahed screen. But if i add a folder through Vault Api, only a normal folder is created.

So any idea to create a folder with icon in vault using api?

That icon represents the Autocad Sheet Set manager.  The file you uploaded must be a sheet set file.  The .dss extension of the file you mentioned supports this.  This icon is normal for that type of file.

I dont recall the exact methods to do this.

But I beleive it does require that an extension be loaded in VE.

Both Sheet Set Manager and Civil 3D use this method. They use a known property on the objects and look for a certain value on the object in order to know if the icon should be changed.

If you post this question to the Vault API forum you might get a better, more specific answer.
