Vault Error 29001 is back. I could use some suggestions

I had a perfectly wonderful Vault Pro 2013 server install. I uninstalled and returned to 2012 (please don't ask, the pain is too great at this point)

IIS configuration set to ASP 4.0

2012 would not install properly (29001 error code Connectivity)

We decided to go back to 2013.

Uninstall all SQL.

Installed fresh 2008 R2 Express

Vault install failure

Install 2008 R2 SP1

Vault Install Failure

Put IIS config back to ASP 2.0 (cracking the Vault suggestion)

Vault Install Failure

Put IIS config back to ASP 4.0 (cracking the Vault suggestion)

reinstall and register .NET 4.0 (Discussion suggestion)

Vault Install Failure

I could use some good suggestions here. The log show the failure at the Language section, and the error is the 29001 cannot load 'Connectivity.Content'

Sorry John, looks like you went back to 2013 & I wasn't paying attention. I don't have it for doing a test install.

I would like to help you as there are few things more irritating than these types of errors.

Yes, I found there was no point to the 2012 downgrade after all (really bad decision) and just tried to get back to the 2013 that was working just fine 3 weeks ago [sobbing]

Again, anything that comes up, let me know. I am really hoping the clearing the .NET temp folders will work. Never tried it, so I'm apprehensive. Will do it tomorrow night if nothing else comes up.

Hi John,

Can you see whether or not the user AutodeskVault has full permission to "C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\Temporary ASP.NET"?

John,

At this point, I would say that you will probably have to contact support.  Maybe they can do a remote session with you and get this resolved.  I am out of ideas 😞

Would that lack of full control be a problem?

I'm gonna close this one out with a big thanks to James M., the people on this discussion, and the support team (you know who you are) for all the help here and over the phone. The machine is wiped and going through the 10 million updates prior to being useful.

Thanks everyone.

Same problem here. Reinstalled at least ten times. 1) Delete SQL Autodesk instance 2) Deleted all ADMS and Vault related registry keys 3) Set Default App Pool to 4.0 4) Enabled 32 bit in App Pool 5) Delete Vault website 6) Deleted AutodeskVault user 7) Reinstalled Autodesk then gave AutodeskVault user full permissions to Net Framework 4.0 folder while installing. TEAM Foundation server is installed on the machine so I am not going to blindly remove IIS and wreck a needed working program. Gets to the last step then:
