Vault 4 sysdatabase

My problem is that I have what appears to be a extra vault in my sysdatabase. We are getting an error when we try to use the backup utility that says(sorry don't have exact)cant find "vault2" in sysdatabase our Vault is called "vault" is there a way to edit the sysdatabase and remove out the bogus vaults
