Vault 2014 - Windows performance counters

Trying to install Vault 2014 Pro Server on a virtual win7 64bit machine. Can't proceed with the installation since the ADMS System Check Report fails with an "Action required"-error that says: "Make sure that the Windows performance counters are functioning correcty".

I've tried google, and even tried a few tricks - but there's not much information about this error.

Anyone recognizes this error and knows a solution will have a friend for life...

Make sure windows is fully updated plus VM tools updated. Also would be worth a shoot to see if you can reproduce the problem. If you have the resources I would try and install a new fresh version of w7 and try again. I have noted that some times the windows 7 install gets messed up from a bad cd or  HDD. Sometimes there is not reason at all and its just a act from God. After a reinstall everything may work great. (rare but still happens from time to time.) Better to catch the problem early then later I say.

Good Luck.

Cheers!

Try the following:

Open a Command Line Window

Navigate to C:\Windows\System32

Run the command lodctr /R

This should rebuild the performance counters. Then attempt your installation again.
