Vault 2014 Unusual Behavior

I'm experiencing unusual behavior using Vault 2014.  I'll try to provide enough details to accurately describe the problem:

First, I'm using Autodesk Vault Basic 2014, Build 18.1.8.0, Update 1 with Autodesk Inventor Probessional 2014 64-Bit Edition, Build 170, Release 2014 RTM Update 2

What I'm trying to do is open files from Vault 2014 (NOT using Open From Vault in Inventor, but opening directly from the Vault client).  All of these particular files have the green symbol for "Edited Out of Turn."

When I right-click an .ipt & choose Open, I get a prompt to check out the file.  I choose "Yes" to check it out, and then it says "File '<filename.ipt.' is NEWER than the data in the Vault.  Are you sure you want to overwrite it?"  I select "No to All" & then the file opens right up in Inventor.  I can then close the file, check it in, & it no longer has the green symbol (all is well).

However, when I right-click an .iam or a .dwg that's when the problem occurs.  When I choose Open, I get a prompt to check out the file.  I choose "Yes" to check it out, and then it says "File '<filename.iam or filename.dwg>.' is NEWER than the data in the Vault.  Are you sure you want to overwrite it?"  I select "No to All" & then nothing happens.  The file status changes to green with a checkmark, telling me that it is checked out to me but still edited out of turn.  But then it will absolutely not open in Inventor.

Sorry to write a book on that but I'm trying to make it clear what's happening.  This never happened to me in previous versions.  Is anyone else experiencing this frustrating problem?

If you are on Subscription, please download and install Subscription Update 1 for Vault 2014.  A few changes have been made in regards to how we handle files edited out of turn and opening files in Inventor.

My Monday morning rant:  This issue is still driving me absolutely crazy.  It is so frustrating.  I just want to be able to open from Vault like I used to be able to do.  Is that too much to ask?
