Vault 2012 installation issue- multiple checkouts of same part

Hello Everybody,

I have all of my project files in the vault.

Now I went to a different machine and checked out a part

from that machine using different user account.

I came back to my machine and tried checking out the same part

Ideally- the access should be denied at this step as the part is already being used

by other user

BUT , I am able to check out the part and work with it too..

Is there anything simple which I am missing out here

BTW ,1. I am vault administrator

          2. I have created a new vault project file on the new machine and mapped it to the server libraries

Any help in this will be greatly appreciated

Multiple users can get a file, but only one can check it out.  The get/checkout commands are now the same dialog ... are you sure you are actually doing a checkout? 

An administrator can undo the checkout that another user performed, but you have to explicitly do that.
