Hi,
Thanks for the update. This error indicates that the installation had some issues. I have the following suggestions to resolve this. Please let me know if you still see this issue.
1. Please try a repair install
2. Also note that you need to log in as Administrator of the local machine while performing repair/reinstall?
3. It also might be a good idea to turn off anti-virus and UAC (if Vista) during the installation.
Regards,
Madhan

Thanks for the quick update. I am not sure about setting up ".net2 application pool to 'recycle worker processes.". I will forward your comments to experts and get back to you.

Hi Mike,
I think you have identified the cause of the
problem. 'worker process recycling' is basically shutting down the web service
and restarting it. It seems that the shutdown code isn't handling releasing
the index file gracefully / correctly.
A couple questions: after the recycle / error, is
you server working correctly? Can you perform searches? If everything is
working correctly, this may be [while something we need to fix] more of a
nuisance than anything.

Thanks for the followup Mike,
I'm glad to hear that the error does not seem to
be affecting vault functionality.
Any information you can gather will be very
helpful to us in identifying and fixing the problem. We will continue to
investigate this on our side as well.

Hi Mike,
Is the error time consistently around 1:00? We do
perform nightly maintenance [optimization] on the search indexes at 1:00. The
error may be occurring because the optimization is in process.

other thing that runs at 1:00 am is Exchange database Maintenance "ESEUTIL"
you maybe able to modify the schedule, but it doesn't always adhere to the
schedule.

Hi Mike,
Not sure if you are still following, but I do
have a theory on the cause of your error. I suspect that IIS may be doing the
process cleanup under at different user than the normal AutodeskVault
user.
If you are interested in experimenting, could you
re-enable the process recycling and give all authenticated users 'delete'
permissions to the "'C:\Documents and
Settings\All Users\Application Data\Autodesk\VaultServer\Indexes" directory? I
think that would cause your recycling errors to go away.
