Vault 2008 ACL

I never needed to use the ACL on Vault folders until now.
I see there's a Security Tab on Vault 2009, but I didn't saw it on Vault 2008.
Is this a new feature in Vault 2009? Or it was on Vault 2008 as well?
Thanks
Razvan

Hello,

This is a feature of Productstream only, either
2008 or 2009. The feature is not available for Vault 2009.

The reason I asked this question is that I see the help of Vault describes
this function. Also we have a computer with Civil 3D, which theoretical
hadn't installed the PS 2008 or 2009, but it has Vault 2009 and I see that
option exists. I will try it on a new installation.

We are VAR and ATC and he have a customer which has AIS2008 and he wants to
implement Vault but he needs ACL instead of creating 10 separated Vaults for
each user or Project.

Thank you again.

Hello,
The Vault you have with Civil 3D will have ACL support with 2008/2009, but
the customer with AIS2008 will not be able to leverage ACL's in Vault. There
are better solutions for using Vault than 10 separate Vaults. Since you are
VAR and ATC, consult with your local AE or SE for the best solution for your
customer.
