In the new preview pane in Vault 2015, we cannot get the thumbnail preview to show up correctly as the actual image for a TIFF file. Just the default paintbrush image appears in the preview. Any thoughts as to how to solve this?
Thanks,
Eric
Within the Preview tab, click on the Version1 paintbrush image, and the preview should then load.

This may be a Windows issue. I see some other situations on the web where other apps don't show a thumbnail for TIFFs. They speak of installing some other programs (codecs) to support the thumbnail in Windows. I would not be surprised if Vault is simply looking to Windows to provide that thumbnail.

Mark
On my system, this works with the setting:
Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Default Programs\Set Associations: TIF = Windows Photo Viewer
Jeff,
Thanks for the response. This was set a few days ago and most are still not showing up. Do I need to re-index the Vault?
Thanks,
Eric
Indexing won't fix a thumbnail issue.
On the Vault server, make sure the Filestore folder has the following permissions:
- AutodeskVault (default impersonation user): Full control
- Network Service: Full control
- System: Full control
Eric,
Did you solve this issue?
If so can you please tell us how you've did it?
We have the same issue, in our case its for every raster file.

Peter
