The Most Frustrating Day of Vault Yet

It's just too easy for someone with old files on in their local workspace to over write the latest versions on the server.
I know you can "just" get the old version back but it's of little comfort after the files been printed & sent out for fabrication.
IV11 & Vault5 arrived today. I'm hoping that the new task scheduler will help in keeping peoples files current. Right now it relies to much on the operator to make sure they have the current files in their local work space.

Vince,

You can configure the checkin/checkout settings to be consistent for all
users in the Vault. For example, on checkin you can configure the
"Close/Delete Local Copy" to automatically occur and suppress the dialog box
from the user's perspective.

Different people have different preferences, obviously, but in your case I
think the new options available to control the dialog options during
checkin/out and the ability to control the visibility of these dialogs will
go a long ways for you and your Vault users.

Thanks,
Bob
