I am trying to install Autodesk Vault Basic 2015 (Server). I am upgrading from Vault 2014.
I am getting stuck with the following error message: "The account AutodeskVault already exists. Please change it." Is there a way I can get past this error without losing my previous database?

You're not deleting your existing databases. This is the AutodeskVault user account create in Windows. Delete this and the installation will continue and recreate the account.

Hywell,
Nice to hear from you. Thanks for steering me in the right direction. Deleting the Windows user account was easy. I was incorrectly assuming I needed to do something with SQL Server.
Thanks again.
I'm not sure if this is answers your question, but as Hywell said, "You're not deleting your existing databases. This is the AutodeskVault user account create in Windows. Delete this and the installation will continue and recreate the account."
So I did not delete a database. Instead, if I remember correctly, I just went to Control Panel -> User Accounts -> Manage User Accounts and then deleted the user AutodeskVault
