SQL Server 2012 Standard SP1 setup. Questions....

Hi there. Does anyone have any information regarding setting up SQL Maintenance plans in SQL Server 2012 and Vault Pro 2014?

The Advanced Configuration Guide for 2014 seems to have omitted the SQL Maintenance section (among other things). Do we still set-up Compatibility level to SQL Server 2008?

Hi There,

Did you review the server maintenance section in help?  http://help.autodesk.com/view/VAULT/2014/ENU/?guid=GUID-B294A257-8EC3-43E8-BC46-D701594C78FD

Hope this helps

Hi Allan,

Thanks for the info. Yep I did check the new help site, but wasnt sure if that was still applicable to 2012:

My assumption is that setting the Compatibility level to SQL Server 2008 (100) means that the DB's can be recovered in any SQL DB 2008 onwards (which means including 2012) - but wasnt sure what the consequences of that running with Vault 2014 and SQL 2012.

So is it correct to say that it should still be set to SQL Server 2008 (100), even when running SQL 2012?

Since you are on 2012, you should set the compatibility to 2012 not 2008.
