Running Multiple Vaults on ADMS

As we move forward with moving our design world to use Vault Pro a discussion has come up about using the Vault for document control that is not exactly design specific.

Examples would be Technical Reports, a bunch of different ISO procedures, etc.

My view is that I could have simple document Vault that the admins have control of (on the Document Vault itself, not on the ADMS server).

Of course I would heavily keep my hands involved in it but it would be a simple way to manage that side of the house.

I would then assume that the thin client could be used to see the "released" versions of all of these documents.

Anyone doing this type of thing?

I've never seen or used a seperate Vault for these type of documents, but you can certainly do it.

Generally, I would reserve a folder on the main Vault and apply group permissions to the folder itself so that it wasn't even visible to other groups/users.

Hmm interesting, I had not thought of doing it with folders and groups.

Was that possible with the Basic Vault?

We are just now moving to Pro so there will be many things that will change in our setups like this.

Thanks
