reference repair utility username or passwd seems to be invalid

Hello ,

i need to enable purge and want to run the reference repair utility.

I only get this message: username or passwd seems to be invalid.  (I checked all combinations)

What login do i have to use?  My Vault login? My login to the server where the vault data is stored?

With my login i get administrator rights.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Greetings

Christian

Hello Christian,

What language version of Vault are you using? If it is a non English one, have you applied the hotfix DL21021827 (http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/item?siteID=123112&id=21021827&linkID=9261341)?

Hello Olaf,

the hotfix worked pretty good.

While running the scan I got this Message for several parts and assemblys in vault:

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

15:03:35  File $/CAD-Daten/......../Schieber.ipt is processed.
15:03:35  Processing $/CAD-Daten/......................../Schieber1.iam
15:03:35  Using handler ExtensionHandlerInventor.CheckReferenceExtHandler
15:03:35  Processing version 1: version name=Schieber1.iam in c:\temp\7305b06b-631d-44f9-8712-35387d7d4fc2\CAD-Daten.............
15:03:35  4 missing references found.
15:03:35  Error occurred when processing Schieber1.iam.
15:03:35  Der Wert darf nicht NULL sein.
Parametername: collection

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

Which value is meant and should not be zero?(Der Wert darf nicht NULL sein.)

Could it be that some files have been deleted in Vault?

Do this errors have any influence on the repair tool, the xml file or enabel purge?

Thanks

regards

christian

We are aware of this issue and working on a fix. It can occur when a file has a missing reference and there is no file in Vault with the same name as the missing reference (this usually occurs due to the file having been deleted from Vault).

The expected behavior is for these to show up as "???" values in the output xml.

Hello Matt,

is this issue solved by checking in a file with the same name as the missed file(???)?

So the scan finds a file and i can accept it and import the .xml.

kind regards

christian

This issue is a defect on our part that we are working on a fix for.  However, you can do what you suggested as a workaround:  checking in a file with the same name as the missing reference (it shouldn't matter where you check it in--just that it has the same name) will cause it to get past this error.

You don't necessarily have to accept that file when importing (and I'm not sure that you would be able to anyways since the file you check in will have a later date than the parent).  But, it will get you past the error so that the output xml is generated.
