Question mark, what does it mean

I have folders locked for some user groups.

When I open the vault browser everything seems OK.

But when I jump through the underlying folders and then go back in the folder structure, the folders had a question mark instead of the lock symbol.

Only when I refresh the browser I get the lock symbol back.

Why does this happend, or what do I wrong?

Matthias

I have seen this behavior starting in Vault 2014. It appears Vault doesn't always load the icons for locked folders and the question mark is indicating it can't find the icon at all. From what I can tell, it's nothing to worry about and doesn't affect anything, but if someone knows diffrently please chime in.

Thanks Jonathan,

Now I know that I'm not the only one.

Were you ever able to resolve your lock/question mark symbol switching issue?

I am running into the same problem.

It doesn't occur with all folders in the structure, and in my case, happens to a library folder and a Designs folder.

Only folders that have a folder icon with a gold lock have the issue.

(FYI, I did verify that both my client and server are on the same service pack.)

Hi,

today I saw the same behavior in Vault 2014 and the simplest workaround to show the lock symbol again was to press the F5 (refresh the Vault). Not the end solution but helps a little bit.

Cheers
