query database with sql

using inventor 2009, in the iproperties, custom properties cant be found when we query the vault database with sql.
where do these get saved ?

we are trying to query the database so its shows all the information to the project that was just checked into the vault from the sql

Direct database access is unsupported.  The
official way to get at property data is through the Vault API.

You can find more information in the "SDK" folder
under the "Data Management Server 2009" folder on your server
machine.
