My client, in an attempt to restrict users from inserting/using un-authorized fasteners from CC into assemblies, they removed EVERY file in CC and in turn would re-create only the fasteners they were approved to use in production.
As you all know, there are many more useful files in CC than just fasteners, thus is there a way to restrict certain files in CC from being used as opposed to deleting them altogether?
I just don't subscribe to the thought of reinventing the wheel each tme we need a common part.

Yes, it can be done. They can create custom libraries, copy the components they want to use to those custom libraries, and deselect the standard content libraries in the Inventor IPJ settings dialog box, or detach the standard libraries from ADMS console.
Ron, Is there a tutorial on this process? I would like to do something simmular only I would like to also give these files our company part number.
Thank you.
