I finish an IDW, check it in, then do a SAVE AS the next drawing number. This has worked well for me since R8. But today when I do the SAVE AS for the new IDW number the previous IDW is shown in Vault Explorer as checked out. So then I open the previous checked out IDW and check it in again. I then do a SAVE AS to the next number and the check out pattern of the previous IDW continues.
This has only happened today, 3 days after a server upgrade (not the Vault server) occurred. Any ideas?

On the check in dialog, is the option checked to keep the file checked out?
If not, I would check the Vault options within the Inventor add-in. Take a look at your prompt settings for checking files out and see if it is set to 'silently' check out the file when it is modified.
