Not all parts coming across

Hello,

I have a couple of assemblies, which when checked out from the vault, do not automatically bring all the parts across. Window pops up asking for the location of these parts.

I have to manually open vault explorer and individually get latest version, which then brings the parts across into the correct directories and everything opens as expected.

Always happens after I have deleted local copies on these assemblies.

Anyone else come across this?

Hi Michael,

I did some investigation, I cannot reproduce this on my computer.

Could you provide more information:
1. your inventor build version?
2. the steps you perform and some screenshot?
3. Does the assembly need migration? If yes, please check "Prompt to save for migratiom" option in Application/Save, save all files and then check in again.

Thanks,
Shadow

Hello, corrected the problem by checking out the entire assembly, including children, and then checking back in.

Inventor Version 2009 64-Bit Build 538
Vaul Version 2009 Build 13.0.47.0

It was already migrated.

Vista Ultimte SP1

I am not sure if this is the problem Michael have.

example:

User1:
Checkout (Assembly1.iam ver1)
and Insert a part (part1.ipt ver1) from Vault. Work
and save to Workfolder:

User2:
Is renaming/move Part1.ipt ver1 -> newpart.ipt ver2 in vault

User1:
Checking In the (Assembly1.iam Ver1-> Ver2) with the (part1.ipt ver1)

Next time You open/checking out (Assembly1.iam Ver2) getlastversion

vault will checking out (Assembly1.iam ver2) and (newpart.ipt ver.2)
But when Inventor is open the Assembly1.iam it will look for Part.ipt

This often happens to me when I delete local copies on check-in and then open an assemlby from vault. When the assembly is at a LOD rep, vault will not automatically download the files that are supressed in the LOD. This makes it hard to get those files when I want to change the LOD.

Hi,

When open custom LOD assembly the suppressed files cannot be downloaded from vault, this is as design. As for the suppressed files cannot be downloaded when change the LOD, this is a known issue which is fixed in Inventor 2009 SP1. Or you can use Get latest Version before changing LOD as a workaround.

Thanks,
Shadow
