No check in?

Hello,

I do not see a way to re check in a DWG file after editing it in Civil 3D. When I use Vault explorer is says “…cannot participate in check in operation due to vaulting restrictions”.

So I went to Tools>Administration>”Disable check in of design files”. Then this gives me a warning that “Files will be checked in but dependent relationships will be lost”. Which I don’t want that to happen.

I am missing something. I’ve looked and read, but I may not see the correct procedure to check in an edited DWG file back to Vault.

The only other option I see is to “Undo Check out”, but I would rather check in my design edits.

Thanks

G,

Hi genegladden,

From the described scenario, it seems that vault add-in for 'Civil 3D' has
not bee installed, hence you're not seeing any vault toolbar in Civil 3D for
triggering of vault operations (e.g. check in). To enable this, you may:
1. Via Add\Remove Program, select 'Autodesk Vault 2009' and do
'Repair/Install'
2. Navigate to 'Add/Remove Features' in Autodesk Vault 2009 installation
console,
3. Select 'AutoCAD Civil 3D add-in'.
Hope it helps.

Pls clarify if you're seeing 'Undo Check out' button within Civil 3D, but
not 'check in' button...

thanks.
