Hi Autodesk. Is the update still coming?
I was about to purge our vault for the first itme when I stubled accross this thread.
I also notice that its been 5 months since the hot fix to prohibit a purge was released....
Also no threads added for a couple of weeks.
Has this been fixed yet? or am I going to have to explain to management that we need to invest in further server space as our Vault has grown in size and our software provider is currently prohibiting us from doing something about it?

I agree! The fact that this is not sorted yet is unacceptable. It’s now costing us as well. I understand that Autodesk is looking out for us in disabling the feature that could potentially have caused us a lot of headaches but how long does it take to sort out a patch? This is a feature that so many of us are counting on and although I only used it once before it is the only real space reclaiming tool/method I know of. It’s getting critical now and we are seriously running out of physical disk space!
It wasnt really meant as a rant as such...more a statement of fact.....we need to purge or we need more space...
Just trying to get a feel for how long.....if its a week to patch then all well and good..a month...well that would make me think we best start planning for more space...more than a month then we need to request a change in IT infrastructure now

Rest assured we are well aware of the problems this poses to you our users and we have not taken this action lightly or easily. We are working to provide the best possible outcome for customers with the resolution provided and hope to have final details soon on what to expect in terms of delivery.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record I can assure you as soon as we have a a final answer on the release schedule for this it will be posted immediately. The purpose of this thread is to make sure we get users accurate and timely details on updates.
I do understand your frustration but our main concern is providing accurate information, not best guest. We very much appreciate your patience while we work through the testing and implementation of the fix and finalize release date.
This was an interresting thread.
How on earth could it take almost 6 months to solve the purge command?
I now sit with a filestore OVER 120 gig and our backup can't hold much more data.
So please, could you put some more effort and time into this?
I was following this thread for a while like many others I guess. But it got quiet for some time. Is there any update on the topic I have missed out. Any new status that lets us hope for purge getting back into business?
