Multiple Licenses Issued

User logs into Vault once & the license manager issues 2 Vault licenses. (Vault Collaboration 2013)

Any one heard of this before? Is there a workaround/fix?

HI Marshall,

Can you share a little more detail on where you are seeing this?  The actual ADMS log does track every integration that the user logs in via (Job Processor, CAD integration, Vault Explorer etc), but will only check out one license for that user as long as he is accessing it from one machine.  SO you will see multiple license acquired calls but only 1 license actually used.

I hope this helps.

You can look at the license identifier and see if they are using the same license.

In general it is 1 license per Username/Computer combination.

FYI...We had an issue running Inventor 2013 with a 2014 Vault Client where it would consume two licenses. Since we switched to 2014 Inventor with 2014 Vault Client, the issue has gone away.

FYI - the problem steveh is refering to was fixed in 2014 SP2 (non-subscription), and 2014 SR1/SP1 (subscription). -Dave
