Moving Vault to different Server

Right now the Vault is on SrvVault01 , this server has both the sql server and File Store.

We want to move SrvVault01 to New Server SrvVault_Prod. What are the steps necessary to move the server.

There are few things which comes to my mind.

-Change the SQL Server Name to Srvvault_Prod

-Change the references in Data Store to Srvvault_Prod

Is there AutoDesk Documentation on how to move Vault to another server ?

Hi There,

The new server I am assuming will also have SQL and Filestore installed locally?  If so you simply install ADMS on the new server with SQL etc.  Back up your current server and restore to the new server.

Yes The new server have SQL and Filestore installed locally.

We are thinking of Virtualizing the current server and name it to Srvvault_Prod. That we will be using for Production.

Whats the process then.

Make a backup of the current server using the ADMS-Console.

Restore the backup on the new server.
