We intend to move our Vault Basic 2013 database to our server. Currently it is on a standalone 32-bit WinXP Professional PC.

Our IT contractor has asked the following:

“ Is your Autodesk Data Management Server / Vault 2013 license 32 bit or 64 bit? If it is 32 bit, which is what I suspect – can this software be physically installed on Microsoft Small Business Server 2008 Standard Edition (64 bit) and will they support it?”

We no longer have support from our reseller.

Your IT contractor can look here for all the information he needs. Without support from your reseller it means you/he has a lot of reading ahead to learn it yourselves. As well as getting help from these forums and autodesk blogs from time to time, when you get stuck.

the vault basic server doesn't require a license

Autodesk does not license the 32 bit and 64 bit separately
