I am wondering if you are able to purge materials of parts from the vault. A previous employee changed template file and had all materials added to it and now is causing a memory issue with inventor and slowing down the program.
There is no way to manipulate the file content with Vault - perhaps though you could look at using Inventor task scheduler to carry out a bulk task like this, checking file out of Vault as you go.
