Manually attach file

Hi there,

I am using Vault Proffesional 2013....

I was wondering if its possible to manually attach a part file to an assembly file...

I imagine that you are wondering why I am wanting to do this instead of just having the part within the assembly so that it gets attached automatically.

Basically my assembly file is an iLogic assembly which for technical reasons sometimes needs a blank dummy part.  I want the blank dummy part to be attached to the configurator so that anyone who downloads the configurator, also gets the part on their C.

I am aware that i could just put the dummy part as a referance within the configurator BUT... i have buttons within the configurator which erase all components so the dummy part would just end up getting deleted.

Thanks,

Hi,

Yes - there is an attach command in Vault Explorer. On the toolbar it looks like a paper clip (also available in Actions menu).
