Linked-to-Item is usless as file search criteria

It seems that Linked-to-Item value is useless as search criteria in Connected Workgroup environment.

Icon-symbol updates ok, value updates ok but search giver wrong result.

The issue self-workarounds if initiate UDP edit using Vault Explorer for the file and just cancel the operation.But this is not the workaroun in common sense.

Could you please provide a more complete description of the issue you are experiencing?

Describe the workflow in more detail, as well as provide the released of Vault you are using and other relevent information.

That would help us provide some guidance, and determine if a defect is present.

We are using Vault Pro 2014 SR1.



Workflow:

- Assign Item with some Inventor model.

- Edit Item - remove file link

- Search for files with criteria "Linked to Item" = false - the
Inventor model wouldn't be among the results even so in system
properties it shows in "Linked to Item".

This does appear to not be the intended behavior of the product.

I have put in a request to resolve it at some point in the future.

Thank you for pointing it out.

Not that this is a good work around, but the next time the file is versioned for any reason the property will be updated.
