are you trying to connect via Windows Authentication or Vault Authentication?
Is there any proxy configured in your company?
Do you have Mechanical (2011) installed? If yes does the connection works then?
When does the error occurs exactly? If you search on existing Vaults on the Server or directly on login?
Could you try what happens if you pick the (ipv4) ip adress instead of the servername?
Also: can you attach the vlog and adms console logfile here from the day where the error occured?
