Is anyone using multiple Vaults?

Is everyone using a single vault for all of their company's CAD data or are
you breaking this up into multiple vaults?

Now that we have Vault 4 up and running, I am preapring to move our legacy
data into it rather than just using Vault for new projects. However our
legacy data has duplicate filenames, uses an old library structure, and
includes some old models of current parts that should not be reused in new
designs (we have since created new models that better define these parts by
including more features, additional iProperties, and greater flexibility).
Consequently, I am considering creating a second vault for our legacy data.

This led me to wonder if others had found multiple vaults to be
advantageous. I would appreciate any comments or suggestions for using
multiple vaults whether drawn from direct experience or merely speculation
about the possibilities.

Sincerely,

Michael

Yes, we are using different Vaults

Easier to purge / manage and reindex the Vaults.
The vaults are separated for business units and a TestSpace.

Best Regards

Bernd / Ger
