How to check in a recovered drawing into Vault

I checked out a drawing called BASE from the Vault. I got a fatal error and
recovered the base (now base recover). If i save it as the original name
BASE it won't let me check it into vault again.

What are the steps to check a recovered drawing into the Vault

Hi,

I assume you are using AutoCAD or one of its verticals? And you get the error 'A file is already vaulted...' when you try to check it into Vault again?

If so, this is because Vault treat the recovered file (which I believe is outside the working folder) as a new file and therefore warn you that this file is already vaulted. If you really want to overwrite the vaulted copy with the recovered file, do this:
1. Check out the file in VE if it's not checked out already
2. Remove the original file in the working folder
3.Save the recovered one to the same place in the working folder
4. Check In
