Using Vault Collaboration Client 2013, we have inserted a single custom Metadata block in our Autocad drawings to tag multiple drawings. After mapping the properties (30+), many of the metadata attributes will remain empty depending on the drawing type. For the sake of consistency, we are trying to limit our attributed block to one format.
In VC Client, is it possible to hide all 'blank' property entries to clean up the appearance of the UDP grid?
Also, is it possible to hide/minimize/or more preferably, disable the 'System' proprties tab?
See sample image

Hi There,
Unfortunately there is no way to remove or hide the system properties on the property grid. Likewise there is no simple way to "hide" UDP's.
The UDP's however only appear when they are associated with that document - if any of these properties are regularly left blank you can simply remove the association with that document category type so it no longer appears and you can add the property manually if and when required - likewise for existing files you can manually remove blank properties using the add/remove properties command.
Finally, if this is still an issue you could look at simply minimizing the UDP Grid and leverage the details pane to display properties or even look at an app like "DataSheet" from Reitec available through our appstore
