FlexLM licensing issue

Now I wish I would have posted a solution the first time I was having issues:

http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/Installation-Licensing/Autodesk-Vault-2012-FlexLM-Failed-to-acquire-a-...

But anway, here's the deal. I just upgraded to Vault Pro 2014 and everything seems to be ok on the server but the error pops when I try and login "Failed to Aquire a License". Here's as much information as I know.

- ADMS is running.

- LMTools says the licenses are available:

Users of 86170VLTM_2014_0P:  (Total of 5 licenses issued;  Total of 0 licenses in use)

- I can see the Vault server from a client (database lookup, etc).

- IPv6 is disabled on the server.

- SP1 is installed on both server and client.

- Using "ADSKFLEX_LICENSE_FILE" environment variable on client machine that has value of "@D2400" where D2400 is the servername running LMTools.

- LicensingLog on server has this as errors:

3136 2013/07/24 06:28:33 Reason=Fatal error
3136 2013/07/24 06:28:33 ComputerName=D2400
3136 2013/07/24 06:28:33 OS=6.0.6002.Service Pack 2
3136 2013/07/24 06:28:33 File=AdlmIntNWFBLicense.cpp,Line=782
3136 2013/07/24 06:28:33 VendorID=3 [FLEXLM-NW]
3136 2013/07/24 06:28:33 VendorError=-5 [No such feature exists.]
3136 2013/07/24 06:28:33 FLEXLM-NW=v11.11.0.3 build 118111 i86_n3
3136 2013/07/24 06:28:33 Reason=Fatal error
3136 2013/07/24 06:28:33 ComputerName=D2400
3136 2013/07/24 06:28:33 OS=6.0.6002.Service Pack 2
3136 2013/07/24 06:28:33 File=AdlmIntNWFBLicense.cpp,Line=765
3136 2013/07/24 06:28:33 AdlmIntError=20 [License check out failed]

- ADMS FileStore log has this error:

Error: Soap Exception ( mesg-id = 635102441132500000 )
Exception: LicensingError [319] (20)

So I guess I'm not sure what I need to do at this point in order to debug the issue. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Vault licenses are not obtained by clients from FlexNET, so changing things like environment variables on client machines will not impact Vault licensing in any way.

Vault license are obtained by the vault server (on behalf of the client) from FlexNET when a client logs into the server. Therefore, you need to tell the vault server where the licenses are. You can do this with a system environment variable on the vault server or you can modify the LICPATH.LIC file in the server installation directory. Restarting IIS is all that is required if you modify the LICPATH.LIC, but you may need to reboot for a system environment variable change to take affect.

Is there instructions on the actual text the license file needs in order to do this?

Everything that you have done on the clients regarding the ADSKFLEX_LICENSE_FILE and/or LICPATH.LIC, you need to replicate where the ADMS server exists.

If your ADMS Vault server is the same server as your FlexLM, then it is almost guaranteed to be an IPv6 issue, even if you have disabled IPv6.

Once the ADMS has full connectivity to the FlexLM via IPv4 and ports 27000 / 2080, your clients will be able to pull a license.
