We have a dwg file in a folder among many similar files that is in WIP status, and has been checked in/out multiple times.
For a reason I can't ascertain, it is reporting itself as locked, despite being WIP. I can Manage Ownership on the file and move it to a different server in our multisite environment, but the lock status remains.
I had thought the Job server might be stuck on it, but the queue is clear. How do we find out why this file is locked?
Someone changed the security on the file. File-Properties, Security tab. I had skipped looking for that because no one in our group messes with file properties, and only a select few even have the right. Time for training! 🙂
