Failed to Update Vault Property ?

When trying to change/update a Vault property (such as description) I recieve an error for certain files.

It says:

Failed to update from Vault property 'Description': Unable to access file.

Do you know what this means or have a solution?

Attached is an example of what I'm talking about here.

The image shows that the Vault Property is succesfully updated, but the file property not.

Maybe your file is Checked Out by another user? You cannot change file properties thru Vault while it is checked out by any user (including yourself).

I got a workaround for this issue.

1. select file
2. Edit menu | Copy
3. Edit menu | Paste (a new file wil be created "New <original name>.<extension>" including history)
4. Check the Vault properties and fil in missing vault properties.
5. Rename original file with a prefix "old_" for example.
6. Rename the pasted file to the original name.

After this steps it is possible to release the document or manualy sync the properties.
