Exception: BadDate [1081]

What does this in ADMS 2013 SP1 vlog mean?

Hi Uma,

Is this a snapshot from the existing log file?

If you recall/report what are the action/steps done prior to this, it will help us in better understand the case.

thanks.

Hi Uma,

It seesm that you're following on thread http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/Autodesk-Vault/Exception-BadAuthenticationToken-300-every-time-some-us... on similar issue too.

Let us know if that helps..

Yes there are lot of them in vlog (mesg-id differs)

To say what happens prior to this Exception I firstly need to know where to search that info.

Probably some action of some client (user), right?

But which user to interview?

That who acquired license just before?

Message 5 of 7

That might help Maxim, but maybe another way is to look at the IIS weblogs.

Note the time in the vlog, look at the weblog for the same time (keep in mind that IIS weblogs use UTC and not your local time)

You can then find out the IP Address of the client machine that generated that request and interview the user.

I dont really have an idea on how often this is logged in the vlog (in other words, how big a problem it is for you). But, if it helps, we have seen reports of this happening using the Vault 2013 API to check in files. This was addressed in the Vault 2014 API. However, this was never reproducable in the standard shipping product using the same command manually.

If this is only occuring with a 3rd Party Vault-addin, the only solution would be to upgrade 2014. However, if we can reproduce without using the API (as Chear Huat requested) it might be possible to resolve sooner.

(Not the ultimate response\solution you were looking for I know, but maybe a helpful push in the right direction Smiley Happy)

Richard even so web-logs was firstly confused with we(bb)logs i think I got it right and this is as you said "push to the right direction" for me -thanks!

So vlog says on 27april if firstly happened on 9:11:48

As far as I understand I should firstly find which of log files in C:\inetpub\logs\LogFiles\W3SVC1 on ADMS contain logging of that period (there are 4 files saved on that day). I'm looking into file that was first saved after the time (u_extend207.log).

I guess I should study lines with 6:11:48 (time difference 3 hours).

There is no line with exactly this time but there are 6 lines of 6:11:47 and 2 lines of 6:11:49 (tthere are two client IPs for those 8 lines) and one of those users is constantly complaining on Vault performance.

Now at least I got something to analyze...

I wil be back if will find anything to share.

in the most cases was the file-property the cause.

The iProperties included the property Maßstab and/or Massstab.
Delete the property Maßstab.
