Error: The file is outside the defined search paths (when checking into Vault)

Hi,

I have been trying to check-in a presentation into Vault and I keep getting the following error.

Vault-Error2.png

Has anyone seen this error before? Any idea wha needs to be done?

The assembly checks in fine. This is what I see in the Model Browser (tree) but I have no clue what the 3rd Party (plastic_Smooth_bump.png) is

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks a lot.

Hi There,

This is an Inventor issue.  The initial message indicates that the reference to that material is not detailed in your project file support paths (workspace, library etc).  I would suggest moving that to one of these locations.

Hope this helps.

Note that the bitmap is a material being referenced - you can also try to just remove it...

@Employeeolearya

How can I remove it? This is not something I intentionally added to my assembly or presentation, it just showed up on the tree.

Thanks a lot for your help.

There should be an option to delete the link - try:

Tools > Options > Links command
