Hi All,
We are using vault 2013. We started using Autodesk inventor 11 but have been upgrading regularly for past 4 years now.
In 2012 during upgrade, we moved our autodesk vault from one server(PILOT) to another server (VAULT).
We never had a need to add any new user or modify privileges of existing users.
When I needed to add a new user recently I got following error(please see attached file ).
"This workgroup currently doesn't have the permission to modify administrative objectives. The PILOT/AUTODSKVAULT workgroup has this permission until 1/4/2011 "
Same error showed up when I wanted to edit existing users.
Can someone please tell me how to resolve this.
Regards
Lalit
Hi Lalit
When you moved from Pilot to Vault servers, what steps did you did you take to move the Vault?
Ron,
Thanks for your reply. We went by the standard steps to upgrade and moving vault from one server machine (PILOT) to another (VAULT).
1. Create a back up on PILOT (Vault version 2011).
2. Copy and paste the backed up files into machine VAULT.
3. Install Autdesk Vault ( vault version 2012) on VAULT.
4. Migrate the vault.
That being said we had trouble in following actions
1. Backing up bault on PILOT. We opened a support case (Case # 06967225).
2. Installation of vault on server VAULT. Again we opened a support case (Case # 07057376).
Both issues were resolved.
Vault is functioning without any problem (we have 3 client machines). I have upgraded vault version on VAULT from 2012 to 2013 without any problem. also we are doing regular vault backups too. the log is showing no errors.
only problem i came accross is that we cannot add or disable any new users.
That is the back ground. I hope it helps.

Lalit
