Email Notification formating Vault 2014 SR1

Hi everyone,

We just upgraded to Vault 2014 Subscription release SP1 hotfix 1 + 2

We noticed that our Vault event notification emails are very poorly formated compared to 2013. please see screen shoots.

2013 version

Now I don't know if someone at my company was able to change the formating in  2013 but as you can see this is just hard to read compared to the older verison.

When our production team has to quickly take a took at this email 10-20 times a day and extract data well there task just got harder and more time consuming.

My question is there any way to edit  the formating of these emails? If not can Autodesk please correct the formating for us? It really is unfortunate to be moving backwards in newer versions of Vault Professional.

There's currently no way to edit the format.

An enhancement request has been logged with development.

Additionally, this topic has been raised in IdeaStation: http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/vault-ideastation/vault-generated-email-customization/idi-p/3509882

We encourage you to provide feedback in that forum.

Hi, Jeff

OK. Currently there is no way to edit o customize the notification format.

If in Vault 2013 the appearance of this notification (easy to read) works fine, but not in 2014, are you planning to fix this?. In my case the users complain about this issue, when they migrated to this release. There is the same issue with the comments in the ECOs (there is no line breaks between sentences).

Thanks.

  • Have you opened a support case?   This may not be a general issue--I'm not familiar with a change to the format, and certainly a change like you are seeing wouldn't on the surface appear to be a favorable change to anyone.
  • Do you see the same bad formatting when changing the state of a Change Order on the client

Thanks,
