Data Standard and Custom iProperties

Hi,

Just getting started with Data Standard and I'm having a problem with Custom iProperties in the Inventor file.

I read the below on this help page: http://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/vault-products/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2014/ENU...

"If the property name matches an existing file property, such as title, then this file property is used. Otherwise a custom property is created."

But it doesn't seem to work for me. I have defined the property in the Inventor cfg file and also added the appropriate xaml to the template. I can see the property text box in the form, but when I add information to it and save it, it doesn't appear in the corresponding iProperty in the Inventor file.

Anyone know what might be at fault?

Thanks

I found the issue, well actually two issues. The first was that I was using a virtual machine for the vault server. For some reason, I (and some of my colleagues) have had issues with mapping Custom iProperties to Vault UDPs when using virtualized vault servers. The same types of issues have popped up with mapping AutoCAD block attributes. Weird.

The second issue was that I was using a custom iProperty named "Manufacturer" and it appears that there is a standard Inventor File Property called "Manufacturer" even though I couldn't find it in the iProperties tab.

It's all working now.
