'm having problem on changing state of items and updating
in some cases I have to change lifecycle security (uncheck Apply item security to related files see error 3.jpg)
when I try to update an item it returns error No newer file versions available for update (see error 1.jpg) but if I try to change state it tells me that (Operation cannot be performed on an old version of the file that is associated with the item. see Error 2.jpg)
this error occurred only after I installed the ts16102141.zip and ts15770173.zip on server
I tried to open a tech support request but I don't find it on my subscription page
went to log and see this. Don't know if it haves anything to do but...

I wish I had something more to offer, but all I can say is that you are not alone. We are experiencing the same set of issues with some of our items. What we've seen is...
1) Error 1200 and it just doesn't assign the item
2) The endless loop of out of date files attached to the item and no real mechanism to update them
3) Cases where it will assign items to all of the sub-components but for some reason just ignore the main assembly
In some cases an open, rebuilt all, update properties will correct the problem
In some cases just waiting a day or two will "magically" fix the problem
In some cases we have files that we can not assign to an item
Its been ongoing for months.
Hi Mike Thomas,
At this time I was thinking that I was alone on this issue
what OS do you have on the server machine and what SQL do you have installed?
I have
Server
Windows server 2008 x64
SQL
SQL2008 Standard SP2
do you have sp2 installed? Today I saw something telling that sp2 is not supported see link.
Windows Server 2008 SP2 (32-bit)
SQL Server 2005
I forget how to determine SP level but we're using verion 9.0.4053
The service pack they are suggesting to avoid is SP4 for SQP 2005.
Mike
Hi guys have you found a solution for this error 1200 yet? We are getting it more and more now and doing a rebuild all on the assy is not helping that much. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
Pieter
