Copy Design - When idw has multiple sheets

We have been working on a workflow that involves a whole lot of iLogic in our assemblies. It's working great, except the end, when we get to the last step in our process and we use "Copy Design".

The problem is that when we do our copy design, we can copy and reuse parts just fine. But when we try to replace a component with something else in the vault, our idw for our main assembly is then automatically excluded. So far the only thing that I have found to be causing the issue is that we have multiple sheets in our idw.

Our top level assembly has sheets for the assembly itself, and then it also has sheets for some of the individual components. When we try to replace those parts that also have an individual drawing in the packet, is when we have the issue.

So we have been just leaving the parts that need to be replaced as reuse whatever was there. Then we have to go into the assembly and do manual component replace for all of those parts. Once that is done, we have to go into the new idw that was created and change all the model references for those parts as well.

Can anyone shed some light on this, is this the intended behavior. I feel because when we make new parts for those same components, everything works fine, why wouldn't replacing work as well?

Any help here would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Chad
