Darn enter key. I am so frustrated with Vault right now I will make this short. Is there any documentation for Copy design? I can't seem to get it to do what I want when dealing with idws of iams. Tried to copy an idw, rename it and replace the existing iam with a new one. No go. Got error 1013 - see screen shot.

That is an interesting use case, unfortunately it is one that isn't
supported in Copy Design the way you want. You obviously noticed that the
.idw was changed to ignore once you changed the .iam to replace. This forced
you to a state where nothing will be done since everything is set to ignore
(except the replaced .iam, but the parent .idw is ignore so the replace has
no purpose).

I'm sure your next question is why does Copy Design changes state of the IDW
automatically to Ignore? The very short answer is Copy Design was primarily
designed to work with the target being the .iam files, not the drawings. As
a result, the drawing file states are in many cases derived from the state
of the corresponding 3D model (.iam, .ipt). So, if the .iam file is set to
Replace, it is assumed the drawing file is not needed, so it is set to
Ignore. There are also some limiting factors with the Inventor API used to
update references for drawings which causes Vault to behave a certain way.

Most issues people run up against can be solved by copy'ing the .iam instead
of the .idw. The .idw will be brought along with the .iam. However, what you
want to do will not work. I will log a defect against this and hopefully it
can be addressed in a future release.
