Content Center search

I posted this in the Inventor group as well since Content Center can/is
based on Vault.

I've been playing with category parameters in the Content Center and
searching on them later. It would seem that searches using Category
Parameter Criteria don't work for properties or parameters that are mapped
to Inventor iProperties. They only seem to work for Family Property
Criteria and additional parameters created at the time of publishing that
are not tied to anything and just have a string value.

Also, when I try to search for a substring using the 'contains' range
selection, the 'value' seems to get a space prepended AND appended to it.
Searching for text at the beginning or end of the parameter/property doesn't
get any hits. It's only when I enter text (like 'a') that has spaces around
it in the parameter value of the published part do I get any hits. Example:
Description column in published part, mapped to Description iProperty,
mapped to Category parameter, string value of 'just a block'. Search
criteria: Family property - description parameter contains 'just'. No
hits. Not on Category parameter search either. Search by description
parameter contains 'a', get hit on Family Property, but not on Category
Parameter.

Could you post some screenshots of your situation, including the publishing
and searching so that we can see exactly what you're doing?
Your description is reasonably clear, but that extra level of detail would
be helpful, I think.

A Word doc with annotated screenshots usually works quite well.
